This charity was set up in 1991 by Lord Hanson for general charitable purposes.  The Hon Robert Hanson is a trustee of the foundation which regularly provides funds for suitable philanthropic, charitable and educational causes.

RAISA GORBACHEV FOUNDATION

The Hon Robert Hanson is a founding trustee of this charity which was set up in 2006 and whose objectives are to relieve poverty and sickness in Russia and advance medical sciences in the field of cancer.

HANSON RESEARCH TRUST

This charity was set up in 1978 by Hanson plc for the advancement of medical education and the undertaking of medical research for the benefit of the public and to publish useful results of such research.  It maintains a fellowship in surgery at the Department of Surgery at the University of Oxford.
